Wanted: Good Orderly Direction

My problems started when I had the inception of a thought at an early age. I was probably about 3-4 years old when I thought “What if I am the only thing that is real in the universe?”. Somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind it lurked, it still lurks. I of course know that thought not to be true, but it was the first of many bad ideas I had in my young life.
Another misconception I had about the same time was that someone somewhere was keeping score. Santa Clause, Grandpa, God? Someone in some tangible way was watching us. Like looking down on a city from a mountain top. That “thing” was in control, able to freely dole out punishment and riches to those deemed worthy. I have never known that God, and never felt aligned with a good, orderly direction.
I have known joy and pleasure in my life, perhaps to excess, but in those fleeting moments I felt there could be more. That even the most pleasure I have ever experienced could pale in comparison to the awe a creator must feel. Especially the joy found in teaching a young child something new, or caring for an injured pet or friend. Those experiences surely are not just a one off. Right?
Well, either way, I know one thing, I crave order and direction. I love it when my direction wins out. However, if I can’t get that, then I love someone else having a clear, cohesive, logical, fair strategy, and for them to be listened to by the group. Usually, in that order, but lately, I am trying to fall back unless I know I have the skill set needed to speak up. I am finding it makes my leadership experiences more productive. Embracing good orderly direction has made an impact.
What on the cosmic scale if any is in charge? What created all this energy and matter we see all around us? I guess I am not able to understand the mysteries of the universe, and maybe that is the reason for living. To TRY!
Thank you for Riding With Me!
