Grateful for the Little Things in Life

Two is always better than one unless it is cold sores or any boo-boo that may come… well lots of things are just A ok as one or none, but I have included two videos below. I am back, the car is working, my computers are working, the cameras are working, and my ass is working! I have to get out there and make some money before they make it illegal!

One of my biggest fears is that the means to make money by ones self, that is without a direct w2 employer, might be taken away. This includes all tipped workers because anyone that has done that work knows the majority of your pay is not from your check. I don’t fear a cashless society, or a one world government on its face, I fear the one world employer!

As time has gone on the industries with which a person can make their own money have dwindled. It used to be that if you had a good idea you could make a gold mine in any field. Then, sometime in the 1700’s, it became any industry except the church, shipping, and finance. The cost needed to break into any of those industries was too large for a single person to make it in. Shipping continued with the railroads forming the next big monopoly. Then came the Telco’s (telephone companies) I would argue the tech money and media landscape today is all lumped in with the legacy telco’s. Those industries became impenetrable by the 1980s at the latest. The internet and media were starting there rise about then forming a new block of tech companies that took the mantle of the legacy Telco’s.

This all coincided with the increasing consolidation of the retail landscape (Walmart and Amazon) and even restaurant’s were not spared the francization of America. Such that almost everyone in our country buys groceries from Walmart, Kroger or its subsidiaries, Aldi, Publix, Giant, Giant Eagle, Safeway. What small grocery stores left have been gobbled up. Now with people unable to operate a cash register or know which patients are in the hospital as a baseline of competence no one can find a staff!

I know this first hand, when I was working as an ASS (area store supervisor) for Gino’s I had a terrible time finding staff. They were all high, violent, dumb, or a combination of the three. So we worked through, but Covid came and nothing ever got back to normal! Why is it the only place I go to that can run a clean friendly chain nationally is Chik-Fil-A? McDonald’s used to be a gold standard for consistency and now they are a gold standard for surliness along with everyone else. Wendy is trying to fight a bitch!

So the employers available have shrunk, who is left has asked their work force to do more with less for decades. When does it stop? Yeah the work has gotten easier, but we fired 2/3 of the help so something had to give. Now no one can cut or wash lettuce at a food service place. I know I don’t want any part of it as long as I can keep working for myself.

That brings me back to me being grateful! I am grateful for every day I wake up, and I spent a not time not being that. I do not want to take my life for granted or the people in my life. I want to be there for everyone, and I want to make the world the place I thought it was as a child! I looked around one day and said I am tired of being miserable and doing nothing I want to change the world. So now I share my knowledge on here! Maybe no one will ever ready it, maybe it will be read worldwide? Either way I will keep writing and filming. Thank you for riding with me!
