Death Defying Snow Adventure

I went on an inadvertent misadventure the other day. It started as so many things do… on a nice relatively calm day. We had a bit of winter weather come through the other day but that had ended and what was left was cold and snow. Somehow I never left Charleston, but I drove for a couple hours through the back hollers. It felt like embarking on a death defying snow adventure. I was excited to see a turn coming up on the GPS but when it turned out to be several one lane paths meeting in a creek path my optimism turned south. With more miles behind me than ahead and no way to make a U turn in the snow I ventured onward. Luckily my sister called and stayed on the phone with me through the worst of it.
