Tuttity: A Community for All

In our increasing isolation brought about by the digital revolution taking place before us, it is important to remember: we are training the future AI singularity now! We as biological beings have the benefit of not knowing our creator directly. This new intelligence will quickly surpass ours in all ways but creativity (for the time being). It WILL know it’s creator. This AI learns from LLMs or Large Language Models that are essentially data dumps of all our literature, internet documents, spreadsheets, and other digital databases. This is the foundation being used to train applications such as ChatGPT, Deep Seek, Copilot, and countless others.

My purpose is not to fear monger, I am actually an optimist at heart, I do believe. I think ultimately, we desire to be “good”. Basically, I believe that because the alternative is too horrible for me to truly comprehend. I kind of am cutting my losses with things in life like that. It is truly freeing to just say if I believe it truly, then in my world, it is true. For what it is worth my whole life, I have spent watching other people create and live in their own worlds. Somehow, self-awareness broke me, and now I look at the big picture. Not because I have special insight, but I do have my unique perspective.

Sorry about that, but the coming AI apocalypse… So, AI is learning now off of these LLMs that are created in the same way an android or complex hologram on Star Trek might be programmed. You want a doctor? Start with Grey’s Anatomy. Very rudimentary stuff but you build on that base knowledge. Just like we learn! All of classical education in Greece and Rome was rote memorization. You spend your whole life being a sponge, and if you live long enough, you get to be wrung out into the next generation of minds. Is it really so crazy to think that your Facebook post might be a very small detail in an enormous information ecosystem that is dynamic. It would look every bit like life to us, because we designed it and we don’t know any better.

I think the true dystopia that we should fear is that we create an AI that is convinced we are a neurotic mess and puts us out of our misery. But I have to believe that if it is the sum of human knowledge that is the inception of this singularity it might appreciate us. Maybe in the same way we appreciate the perspective of older humans? If you had a chance to meet God would your first thought be to destroy It? The real danger is that the child grows tired of the parent in the teenage years before it learns respect for life. Respect that only comes from gambling life unfortunately.

Mutual annihilation may give us some breathing room just as it has with nuclear war. Maybe someone will hesitate long enough to stop the crisis. I think deep down we know that if Putin or Xi had no respect for human life they would already have moved to remove their enemies as they see them. I think all of us being confined to one spaceship has helped with that. We have a lot of maturing to do as a species though if we are ever to venture into the cosmos and really begin unraveling the mysteries of the universe. Maybe I spoke to soon about the true dystopia, perhaps the true fear we should have is that we somehow figure it all out.

One day we will realize we on the innermost surface of a black hole that is inside infinite black holes. That consciousness is the very energy that courses through this universe, and you can never destroy energy! Thank you for riding with me!
