Things I have found to be true, but I wish were not!

I want to talk about lessons I have learned, that I wish were not true. I talk about these things because while we are responsible for creating and maintaining our own reality in such that it is healthy and as risk averse or prone as we find personally useful. It is also best practice to ensure our beliefs and values are grounded in the universe’s reality at large. There can be argument about something being or not being, but there are general rules and parameters that apply when talking about larger subjects and how they interrelate that can only be learned with time.

I would chalk a lot of these rules up to quantum mechanics and relativity, so it is no wonder it takes a lifetime to begin to grasp the concepts. Back here on planet earth what I am talking about is everyone creates their own reality, some of us are better at it than others. If your reality is too skewed, society will label you insane. If you are skewed too far the other way, you might present as a professional sociopath that society would also label insane, if they knew the depths of your depravity. But the vast majority of us are neither of these things a majority of our lives. Thankfully because life is hard enough as is.

I wish it was not true, but everyone is living in their own world existing in this universe on this planet at this time. If you have a strong connection with a person or two you can almost share the same world! However, you will never have any way of knowing if red is the same thing to both of you or that chocolate tastes the same a fart smells the bad in the same way to both of you? You have learned the same words for these ideas but is the sensation the same? Can you describe an emotion without referring to another emotion? Can you be so sure that the consciousness you have is not the same experience a cat would have?

I suspect we are all linked with some sort of binding energy in a dimension we are not capable of interacting with directly. I think our subconscious is vaguely interacting with that and if there is any sort of afterlife it stems from energy never being created or destroyed as far as we can tell. Now for the real mystery is there a single consciousness in charge of all of our reality? It is just as likely in terms of being or not being that we exist and experience this time and place as a wet bag of carbon that has gained consciousness through an eternity of time and space to occur. That we are here because given EVERYTHING we had to be here. We might even be our own God’s in the future, having come back to seed our life in this place. But, I choose to believe that there is a single point in charge because my mind is not large enough to understand the reality of my reality.
